Since launching in 2012, Tigo Business has enjoyed exceptional growth among three primary audiences: multinational corporations, large local companies and small and medium size businesses (SMBs). In 2018, we strengthened the brand’s ability to serve multinational companies, large local businesses and small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) through three notable initiatives: network resilience, a fiber ring that a single, connected network of our LATAM countries, and several exciting SMB initiatives.

The SMB segment especially supports our social purpose to help communities and economies prosper. Increasingly, commercial success depends on being connected, offering online distribution and sales channels, enabling web-based customer communications and service, and operating business-critical functions in the cloud.

We fully understand our Tigo Business customers need reliable, consistent connectivity. Their livelihoods depend on uninterrupted access to the tools and services they need to succeed. Our response in 2018 has been to introduce more network redundancy and comprehensive, regularly tested business continuity management plans to help minimize any disruption or compromised ability to restore services in acceptable timeframes. We have set in place new capabilities so Millicom can now offer communications services, datacenter, cloud and co-location to companies wanting to interconnect their offices or branches throughout the region.
